ABCO Maintenance staff has chosen to recognize
Food Bank for their 28 years of continuous service and join forces to
make 2011 Christmas Drive an enjoyable one for many New Yorkers. Food Bank of
New York is the city’s largest hunger-relief organization working to end food
poverty throughout the five boroughs. Please help and donate non-perishable food
items to our office or warehouse and let’s help make this holiday season fulfilling
for many New Yorkers.
ABCO Maintenance Inc. is working with Food Bank for New York City holding a
Food Drive to collect canned goods for hungry New Yorkers. Please help by
bringing in nonperishable food donations and putting them in the decorated
food drive bins located at near the fax machine by December 23rd.
The top ten most needed items include:
canned beans,
milk,
fruit,
vegetable,
juice,
meat,
fish,
soup,
stew and
peanut butter.
Nearly 4 million New Yorkers are at risk of hunger. The Food Bank distributes food
to more than 1,000 emergency community and community food programs and helping to
provide more than 400,000 free meals a day.
